Johanna DavidAttorney and Counselor at Law
Johanna C. David has always had a passion for serving the elderly community. Her interest in elder law started when she witnessed several elderly adults in her community and church facing illnesses and the stresses that come along with funding long term care. She witnessed first hand people losing their homes and life savings to nursing homes. Johanna learned the importance of estate planning and protecting ones future. She learned early on that as an attorney, she could help others navigate what can be a traumatic experience and avoid the pitfalls that improper planning or no planning at all would inevitably cause. After law school Ms. David litigated in Federal & State Court for a few years but soon realized that she had to go back to her first passion, Elder Law. Johanna has now been practicing in the area of elder law estate planning for several years and enjoys helping clients to understand their estate plan and debunking the many myths about estate planning and asset protection. With passion and dedication she emphasizes the right plan for her clients and helping them to create a legacy for loved ones while minimizing the impact of estate and income taxes.
Johanna speaks French and Creole. She lives in Nassau County with her husband and two children.
