Originally from Belgium, Joy Royaux moved to the United States in 1998 and was raised in Brooklyn, New York. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Berkeley College in 2012 and has dedicated her career to serving others through the legal profession.
Joy is a Legal Assistant serving clients in Ettinger Law Firm’s White Plains and New City offices. She helps ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the office while serving as one of the primary points of contact for clients beginning their elder law estate planning journey.
Before joining Ettinger Law Firm, Joy spent more than a decade with The Legal Aid Society’s Juvenile Rights Practice, where she served as a Paralegal and Client Advocate, advocating for the rights of vulnerable youth. She later continued her commitment to public service at the Center for Safety and Change, providing legal support to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Outside of her professional career, Joy remains passionate about community service and regularly volunteers to assist individuals with immigration matters, including Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) and Habeas Corpus filings.
In her free time, Joy enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and experiencing new cultures.
